Wijtzes Food Concultancy
In 1999 Taco Wijtzes founded the company Wijtzes Food Consultancy. After working for the Wageningen Agricultural University, Unilever and TNO-Food for several years, he decided to start his own firm. First in the garage, but soon the company had to look for a larger office. Nowadays, WFC consists of 3 operating companies in the field of food safety consultancy and microbiological analyzes.

WFC Arkel
At our location in Arkel, near Gorinchem, you will find our microbiological laboratory: WFC Analytics. Since the beginning of 2008 we are situated on the Haarbrug business park.

WFC Arkel is also home to WFC Food Safety, the consultancy firm that advises companies especially in the field of food safety. Our consultants are food technologists and microbiologists. They are experienced in setting up quality systems and guiding a company through a certification process. Thereafter, advice and guidance is often provided to keep the quality systems up to date and to improve it.

In our microbiological laboratory we mainly focus on research with added value. This can be done by conducting standard studies with related advice for our customers. In addition, we always try to perform and report the analyzes very quickly and as agreed. 

In addition, studies are taking place with a more fundamental character. Research into the efficacy of preservatives, challengetests for, among others, Listeria and other more advanced customer projects are carried out in close collaboration with our clients by a team of experienced researchers.
